We are looking for Water Treatment Operators whose primary role is to operate an industrial water treatment plant on site. They ensure the proper execution of the various treatment processes and adjust them as needed. Their mastery of flocculation, coagulation, precipitation/settling, flotation, and filtration principles enables them to propose effective treatment methods, ensuring project success and client satisfaction.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Ensure the control of treatment processes within a water treatment plant;
• Conduct tests and evaluations of water quality, and perform environmental monitoring and protection activities;
• Participate in the optimization of treatment processes to ensure expected results are achieved (contaminant removal, adjustments, parameters, etc.);
• Prepare and conduct experiments, tests, and chemical analyses using various techniques such as chromatography, spectroscopy, and physical and chemical separation;
• Develop and implement sampling and analysis programs to ensure that raw materials, intermediate products, and final products meet quality standards;
• Contribute to the development of processes related to chemical engineering and assist in preparing studies on procurement, construction, inspection, and maintenance in the field of chemical engineering, as well as in the development of standards, procedures, and health and safety measures;
• Participate in the setup and installation of treatment plants on site (mobilization);
• Perform equipment inspections and calibration;
• Carry out other tasks as assigned.

• Master the principles of flocculation, coagulation, precipitation/settling, flotation, and filtration.
• Understand fundamental health and safety principles in an industrial environment.

• Ability to troubleshoot technical problems with limited equipment;
• Replace piping in a water treatment plant.Replace defective pumps.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• College diploma (DEC) in Water Technology, vocational diploma (DEP) in Water Treatment Process Operation, or any other relevant training;
• More than 5 years of experience in industrial process treatment;
• Bilingual in English and French;
• Physical ability to stand for several hours;
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
